Sarah Cochrane RM

Hello! My name is Sarah (she/hers) and I am so pleased to be part of Team 1 with The Midwifery Group in the city where I have worked, lived and played since 2004. Over the course of my midwifery training, I have worked with midwives in Vancouver, New Westminster, Chilliwack and Abbotsford. I also have a Bachelors and a Masters degree in English from UBC.

After the birth of my first child, I dreamed of being a midwife. After the birth of my second child, I started taking steps to make it a reality. I am drawn to the beauty and spontaneity of birth, and I work hard to ensure people feel their voices are heard throughout pregnancy and beyond. Providing responsive, person-centred care is what drives me.

When not working, I can be found walking the beach with my dog, whipping something up in the kitchen, or snug at home with a good book.
